What is Ceramic/Graphene Coating ?
Ceramic/Graphene Coating: is a liquid polymer applied to a car’s exterior surfaces that chemically bonds with the factory paint to form a durable, transparent protective layer. Once cured, it becomes a semi-permanent shield against:
- Dirt & grime
- UV rays
- Bird droppings
- Water spots
- Minor scratches
- Oxidation & fading
- It is often made from SiO2 (silicon dioxide) or titanium dioxide, which form a nano-ceramic coating that hardens and protects the paint.
Key Benefits of Ceramic Coating
- Enhanced Gloss & Shine - Deep, mirror like finish that gives your car a “wet look” 24/7.
- Hydrophobic Effect (Water Beading) - Water, mud, and grime roll off easily, making the car easier to clean.
- UV Protection - Prevents paint from fading and oxidizing due to sun exposure.
- Chemical Resistance - Protects against acid rain, bird droppings, bug splatter, tree sap, and industrial fallout.
- Easy Maintenance - Washing becomes less frequent and easier due to non-stick surface.
How is Ceramic Coating Applied ?
- Surface Prep - Full wash, decontamination (clay bar), and paint correction (machine polishing) to remove swirls/scratches. Then we clean the surface with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) to eliminate small contaminants and polish particles.
- Coating Application - Coating is applied in sections using microfiber applicators in a dust-free environment.
- Curing Time - Coating is left to cure for several hours like 7-8 hours depending on weather.
Maintenance Tips
- Wash your car once in a week with pH-neutral shampoo.
- Avoid automatic car washes with brushes.
- Use microfiber cloths to dry and clean.
- Apply a ceramic booster spray every few months.
- Avoid washing for 7 days after coating.
- Avoid daily washing in apartment with only microfibre and water.
Graphene Coatings (Newer Technology)
- Improved water-spot resistance
- Strong anti-static properties
- Slightly more expensive
